A recent release of the MetaMask Chrome extension (version 12.15.1) introduced a bug affecting message signing. This issue prevented Snapshot users from voting and creating new proposals.

The MetaMask team promptly fixed the problem in version 12.15.2. If you're experiencing trouble with Snapshot while using MetaMask, please ensure your extension is updated.

Check your MetaMask version
Open your MetaMask Chrome extension.
Click on the top right 3 dots menu.
Click Settings (gear icon).
Go to About.
Verify your current version:
If the version is 12.15.2 or higher, you're good to go.
If the version is 12.15.1 or lower, follow the instructions below to update.
How to update MetaMask manually on Chrome
Open a new tab and navigate to
chrome://extensions
.Locate MetaMask and click Details.
Enable Developer mode (toggle on the top-right corner).
Click Update to install the latest version.
Once updated, message signing and Snapshot functionality will return to normal.
